Welcome to the OpenSox project.
The objectives of this project are:
- Create an audit and compliance framework for generation of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance reports.
- Allow for easy connector development and integration.
- Support easy setup of users, and systems.
- Support for internationalization
- Ease of use, development and deployment.
- Support of all major Java Web Servers (Tomcat, JBoss, OC4J) without the need of J2EE containers.
This project is based on the Appfuse framework, OpenAdaptor, hibernate, spring, JSF and other open source technologies.
The first version of this project only support flat-files and ldap v3 compliant directories as sources of users, and currently all users are imported into the OpenSox repository.
Future versions will support:
- In addition to flat-files and ldap v3 sources, AD, databases and any other sources created with OpenAdaptor
- Selection of where to keep the user information (OpenSox repository or original source)
- Quartz based tasks for automatic generation and distribution of reports, as well as initiation of audit workflows
- BPEL based workflows
- SPML v 2.0
- Other features as requested by users and developers
Next week, a video showing the use of the product will be available here.
Donations to this project are passed directly to charity.
